Auction at Gull Point
In August at a joint event with the Okoboji Protective Association, original
works of art relating to the Mini-Wakan
Shelter House will be auctioned. Other activities are also planned.
Did
you know that the Spirit Lake Protective Association…
• Assists financially with monitoring water quality of Big Spirit Lake
• Educates boaters in preventing invasive species from entering our waters
• Provides and maintains safety buoys along the shoreline of Big Spirit in
cooperation with the DNR
• Is partnering with the Mini-Wakan Committee to help restore the Shelter House
on the north shore
• Funds the annual July 4th Fireworks on Big Spirit Lake
• Liaisons with other area protective organizations to preserve water quality
• Participates in the clean up of Big Spirit beaches
